New York City Hotel
Freddy Blassy (no relation) found a New York City hotel in a directory of New York City hotels. He was quite proud of himself.
The next day he took a cab from his New York City hotel to Columbia, where his son was studying. He was followed by journalists who were burning with questions. But Freddy Blassy was much too classy for such vulgar repartee as they required of him, and so he referred them to his fictional twin brother, Freddy, who was staying at another New York City hotel.
All the Blassys had a good laugh about that one in later years - even Freddy's twin Freddy who turned out not to be fictional at all...
In Freddy's car, the radio said: "None of the New York City hotels were sold today. Prior reports turned out to be false."
